What is meant by squaring the circles?
Answer: Finding a
Square with the same area as a given circle is a problem which confronted even
the Greek Mathematicians. The difficulty in this problem lies in the fact that
a ruler and compass only could be used.
If only we could draw a straight line equal to the
circumference of circle…. Eureka! But an attempt to solve the problem from as
far back as 460 B.C. has been in vain.
