Absolute Value



     Supposing the roots of a quadratic equation is: 8/5 and – 7/3
What is the absolute value of the coefficient of the x term, if the equation is writer in standard form?
(ax² + bx + c = 0), and a =1

Answer: 11/5
Since (x -8/5) (x + 7/3) = 0x² + 11/5 x – 56/15
