Name of the Line

What is the name of the line referred to when you say?
‘Cut a circle in two points’?

Answer:    Secant: When straight line cuts any curve at two distinct points, it is called a Scant. However, Secant is not the same as tangent. Tangent, no matter how far it I produced either way, has only one point in common with the curve.
