Age Limit: Candidates age limit is 17 years and 06 months to 21 years for Soldier GD and 17 years and 06 months to 23 years for All others Trades as on 01-10-2017.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have qualified in Matric/ SSLC/ 10th class pass from recognized Education Board/ Institutions with minimum 33% marks in each subject (not applicable for additional subjects) and 45% marks in aggregate for Post No.1, 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50 marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject for Post No.2,3,4, 10th Pass. Chef Community, Steward, Washer man, Dresser (Barber), Kennel man, Painter, Tailor, Equipment Repairer (Support Staff), Saddler (Unit), Artisan (Metallurgy) and Artisan (Wood Worker) for Post No.5, 10+2 / Intermediate pass from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% in aggregate and 50% in each subject from Education Boards / Intermediate Institutions recognized for Post No.6 Posts.

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 19 to 25 years as on 1st January 2018 (born not earlier than 02 January 1993 and not later than 01 January 1999, both dates inclusive) for NCC candidates (including Wards of Battle Casualties).

Educational Qualification: Candidates should Possess Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years/ semesters, Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years. Such students will need to secure overall aggregate of minimum 50% marks if selected in interview failing which their candidature will be cancelled. The candidates studying in the final year of graduation should complete their examinations related to the degree, like, written, practical’s, viva-voce, projects backlogs etc prior to 01 Apr 2017. They should be able to produce the degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at OTA, Chennai. Such candidates will be inducted for training at OTA, Chennai on additional bond basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate for For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders, Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years/ semesters, NCC ‘C’ Certificate not required for Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel.

2.  Soldier Technical Amn - 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject (OR) Three years Diploma in 4 Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Electronic & Instrumentation Engineering) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute

3. Soldier Nursing Assistant - 10+ 2/Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate (OR) B.Sc Degree (Botany/Zoology/Bio Science) and English (simple pass). Stipulation of marks laid down at 10+2 level will not be applicable for B.Se degree.

4. Soldier General Duty (GD) - 10'" pass with min 33% in each subject/ C2 Grade' or 4.75 Points in Grade System and 45% marks in aggregate except additional subject 10 +2 simple pass in ali subject. Stipulated marks percentage will be waived off for 10 +2 and higher education qualification.

5. Soldier Clerk/ Soldier Store Keeper Technical - i). 8th Pass, For House Keeper, Mess Keeper & Syce. ii). 10trh Pass For For Chef, Washerman, Dresser, Steward, Tailor, Artisan (Wood Work), Artisan (Metallurgy), Support Staff(ER), Artisan (Construction) and all other trades 10th simple pass/ITI qualification in respective trades. Only candidates who have undertaker class X Board Exam would be considered.
