          There are two numbers with the difference of 3 between them and the difference of their squares is 51

Can you find the numbers?

Answer:  Let’s assume X is one of the numbers and Y the other Then,

X² - Y² = 51(I)

X – Y =3 (ii)

Divide (I) & (ii)

X + Y =17 (iii)

Add (ii) & (iii)

2X =20

X= 10

Y = 7
